When creating her art work, Gertrude Schweigl encompasses a variety of media
with preference given to watercolors and acrylics. As outdoor and travel enthusiast
she loves to paint landscapes, fascinating places, and situations conveying her
interest and emotions.
Always searching for essence and drama, she is expressing herself by finding a
balance between what is needed in detail and what is not.
" A work of art is part of nature seen through a temperament." (André Gide)
Exhibiting predominantly in group and juried shows in Greater Toronto, her art - always on exhibit at the
Beaux-Arts Brampton Gallery - can be found in private collections locally and abroad.
